Physical Plant. Service Aide I. Search 1159. One vacancy, temporary, full-time. Minimum $7.55 per hour to start. Desires an individual with a high school education. Desires two years experience in cleaning and general housekeeping. Must be capable of doing strenuous work such as moving and working with heavy objects and equipment and climbing ladders. Must have dependable transportation. Individual performs a variety of duties involving cleaning and general housekeeping of assigned areas. Performs other related duties as required. Work days will be Monday through Friday and hours will be from 4:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Aviation Systems Program. Senior Craft Specialist I / II. Search 1160. One vacancy, regular, full-time.  The UTSI Aviation Systems Program is seeking either an entry level Airplane Mechanic or an Electronics Technician to provide support for our fleet of research aircraft.  The Aircraft Mechanic applicant will possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.  The Electronics Technician will have experience and/or be a graduate of a civilian or military instrumentation/avionics training school.  It is anticipated that the A&P Mechanic position will require approximately one quarter to half time effort on electrical/wiring projects associated with the research aircraft systems.  Either position will require working closely with both the Head of Aircraft Maintenance and the Instrumentation Engineer on a variety of flight research projects and research aircraft and with graduate students in the Program in support of their research projects.  Other duties will be as assigned by the Program Chair.  Computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets, computer aided drafting software, drafting skills for electronic schematics, and word processing is desirable. Performs other related duties as required.
