The University of Tennessee Space Institute appreciates the investment of time and effort by its employees and manifests that appreciation through the UTSI Service Awards Program. The Service Awards Program is designed to recognize and congratulate employees for the accomplishment of various amounts of service through the award of recognition gifts, and an annual reception.

1. Category of Service Awards:

Each fifth (5th) year of service is recognized.

2. Calculation of Service:

For Service Awards purposes, your regular continuous service date is used to determine eligibility.

3. Public Recognition Ceremony:

Each year the Associate Vice President will host a Service Awards Reception at which all Service Awards earned during the previous year will be awarded. Appropriate publicity will be provided within the Institute community and efforts will be made to publicize the recipients in area newspapers. Service Awards will be conveyed with appropriate letter of recognition from the Associate Vice President.
