Pay for each day of court leave shall be made at the employee's current rate of pay for a regularly scheduled work day not to exceed eight (8) hours. However, if an employee is not required to appear in court, either as a witness or for jury duty for the entire day, the employee must return to his/her normal work station at the University to be eligible to receive a full day's pay. Annual leave may be taken in lieu of court leave.
Court leave is documented on the employee’s timesheet. If court leave is taken, a copy of the
summons, subpoena, or notice to appear in court or on jury duty shall be
submitted to the supervisor. If the jury service
results in any personal compensation from the court, the employee is required
to reimburse the University for this Compensation. Any reimbursements from the court received by
the employee for personal expenses, such as parking, mileage, and food
allowances, and any non-reimbursed parking expenses shall not be included in
the amount paid to the university. As soon as payment is received from the
