Longevity Pay is compensation for three or more years of service with The University of Tennessee, State Board of Regents Institutions, State of Tennessee government agencies, offices, or departments as a regular employee working 82.05 percent time or more.

Service as student employee, or with elementary and secondary schools is not included in computations for determining Longevity Pay.

Longevity Pay is made on or about the 19th day of the month following the anniversary month. As an exception to this practice, employees whose anniversary month is June receive their longevity pay on the 19th of June. All longevity payments are subject to Federal Withholding Tax and Social Security taxes at the prevailing rate.
