Workers' Compensation
If you are an employee of the University of Tennessee Space Institute, and have an accidental injury while you are working at your job, then you may be covered by the Workers' Compensation Program of the State of Tennessee.
Update on Workers’ Comp Network (10-1-2011)
The State has a new medical provider network for the workers compensation program. As of October 1, 2011, the State’s new medical provider network is Rockport United Network. It is imperative that state employees seek treatment only with providers who participate in this network. Extra attention should be given to which hospitals and physicians are in the new network in our area. At this time, Harton Regional Medical Center IS NOT in the network.
A new PDF directory will be uploaded onto the State’s website each month until a link is added. Please keep in mind that the directory is updated each month so you need to confirm that the list you are using is current. The new vendor (Rockport) is actively pursuing several hospitals and providers that we have historically used, so changes are to be expected, especially at first.
As always, our employees can contact the UTSI HR office at ext. 37226, call Sedgwick CMS at 1-800-526-2305, or call Division of Claims Administration at 615-741-2734 for a doctor/hospital in their area. Please call ext. 37226 if you have any questions.
